Regina M. Leech passed away on May 20th, 2024, at the age of 65 after suffering from early-onset dementia. Gina was born to Howard and Betty Leech in Kentucky on November 12th, 1958. The Leech family moved to California in 1959 before making West Covina their home in 1964.
Gina is survived by her two daughters, Destiny Deadwylier and Kayleigh Leech. She is also survived by her sister Kathy Hammack, Son-in-law Kevin Deadwylier, grandsons Steven and Nathaniel Deadwylier, Uncle Jack Leech, many nieces and nephews, and numerous friends. Gina was lovingly referred to as "Favorite Aunt" by her nieces and nephews, except for her niece Kristina, who will forever call her her "Pocket Pal."
Gina moved to New York in 1996 with her youngest daughter and husband. She and Kayleigh road-tripped back to California in 2009 after realizing she loved her family, sunny SoCal weather, and beaches more than the frigid New York winters.
Gina worked for HP before retiring early to spend quality time with her family. She was a doting grandmother and a constant presence at her grandsons' school and sporting events. Gina had an infectious laugh and loved family trips to Dodger games, Disneyland, the beach, concerts, and Las Vegas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Howard Leech, her brother, Robert Barry Leech, her brother-in-law, Anthony Hammack, and her nephew, Baby Barry Leech.
Gina's passing has left a hole in the hearts of many. She was loved dearly and will be missed greatly. Her family and friends take comfort in knowing she is now resting peacefully.
