Rebecca graduated from Chang Kei Shek College and embarked on a career working for various companies in the Philippines. On May 10, 1970, she married Romeo, an engineer and the love of her life. They shared a devoted and loving marriage for 54 years. Together, they built a family and were blessed with four children: Ruth (married to Raymond), Reuben (married to Grace), Reuel (married to Emily), and Raphael. Rebecca’s most cherished role was being a devoted mother, pouring her heart and energy into nurturing her family.
In December 1980, the family migrated to the United States, settling in Monterey Park, California. There, Rebecca and her family became active members of Chinese Evangelical Free Church, where they built a strong community of faith and fellowship.
In 1997, Rebecca developed a mental illness that caused significant challenges in daily life activities for the rest of her life. Despite her struggles, her faith remained a cornerstone of her identity. During her remaining 27 years of struggling with her sickness she was not alone, she was loved and cared for physically and emotionally by her family. At the time of her passing, she was in the hands of her loved ones.
Her legacy is carried forward by her Husband Romeo, four children and their spouses with six grandchildren, Iris, Jared, Amanda, Nathan, Hailey & Kylie who were the light of her later years. Rebecca will be greatly missed, but her love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her and forever cherished.
