Phitsanourack Ling Sithideth was born on April 04, 1969 in Vientianne, Laos to Manivong Sithideth (mother) and Kham Tu Phrasavath (father, deceased). She is best known by family and friends by Ling. Ling is survived by her husband, Souny, her children, Eddie, Henry, and Natalie, and her siblings, Danny Sithideth (brother) and Malayphone Chanhsonphou (sister), and her mother Manivong Sithideth. (Malay Kounlavongsa, sister, deceased).
Ling and her family had escaped Laos to a Thai Refugee camp and came to America in 1986. Upon arriving in America, Ling and her family settled in the friendly city of Whittier, CA. After graduating from La Serna High School (Whittier, CA), Ling married her husband Souny Souriyasack and a year later birthed her first son. As she continued to raise her family in the city of Whittier, she pursued an entrepreneurial career as a real estate investor and philanthropy work through her foundation. Ling was a savvy business woman and left behind a foundation for her family to continue her legacy.
As a devout Christian, she accepted Christ into her life at a young age, her faith was unwavering. She served in various roles at her home church, The Salvation Army Whittier Corps. She became a soldier in 1994 and served in the Women’s Ministry, Corps Council as Assistant Treasurer, Worship Leader in the Laotian Corps, and as a photographer for all Corps events.
One of her favorite things to do is take photos and share them with others, especially on social media. Her photographs share the story of her life’s adventures and the world through her unique lens. She loved to travel and to sing. Wherever she went, she was more than happy to share her gifts with the world.
We celebrate her life and cherish the memories we created together. And so we remember Ling, our beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend; may you rest in peace with our heavenly father.
