On October 30, 2020 our beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, Paul S. Higa passed away at the hospital, surrounded by his Wife Lynette, and Sons Sean and Chris. Paul was mentally strong, but his body finally had enough. Now he is at peace with no more suffering or pain.
Paul moved from Maui to California to earn his Engineering Degree from the Northrop Institute of Technology where he met the love of his life, Lynette. After college, Paul joined the U.S. Army where he spent time on the East Coast and in Vietnam as a fixed wing engineer. Upon his honorable discharge from the Army, Paul and Lynette were married and celebrated their 51st anniversary in 2020.
In 1973 their first son Sean was born followed by Chris in 1975. Paul was the happiest person on earth and was thrilled to be a mentor and pass on his experience and love of family.
Paul had a long successful career in the food industry as a plant engineer, maintaining the machinery at the Alpha Beta Creamery, Hinode/Hinoichi Tofu and finally retiring from House Foods America with the title Vice President, Plant Engineer.
In 2002, Paul welcomed Sheridi and her family to his with open arms and was later blessed by his only two granddaughters, Peyton and Mia.
Paul loved to travel with Lynette and made trips to Okinawa, Japan, Hong Kong. Frequent trips to Las Vegas and Indian Casinos were made so they could spend time with family and friends and to play his favorite game, Keno.
Paul leaves behind his Wife Lynette, Sons Sean and Chris, Daughter-in-Law Sheridi, and Granddaughters Peyton and Mia. Paul will be missed by all, but never forgotten.
Rest in Peace. We love you.
