Thought I heard your voice out loud yesterday. It was so real. Miss you, sending Oscar Jr jokes is not the same.

I first met Mr Olivas back when we lived on Whitsett Ave in 1980 could of been earlier as my aunt and uncle the Ramos live across the street.  
I will always remember Mr. Olivas very soft spoken, easy to talk with and great conversation.
I still remember our last conversation and everything will be ok.  Rest in peace our deepest condolences 🙏

My uncle Oscar was not only my uncle, but also my godfather  and my father's baby and only brother.
Very pleasant memories growing up, since I was the first and only niece.

My favorite memories with my grandfather are when he would teach me about the different plants in his garden. I remember one specific day where we were out in the back yard and he showed me how to find the best avocado and taught me how to start growing my own pineapple plant. I knew he loved his garden so I loved hearing him talk about something he was passionate about. I love you so much grandpa and I know you’re up there watching down on us. 

Watching Oscar Sr. share his granddaughter, Sydney, with his Dad was and remains one of the most cherished memories. Just watching them surround her with love and she could hardly move because they were always circling her, hands outstretched to make sure she didn’t fall. She loved to grab Oscar’s glasses from his face and pull on Great Grandpa’s ears. 

My favorite memory with my grandpa is having him talk to me about his garden and all of the different plants he has.

Pop, I am so blessed to have been a part of your life, first as a Dad to one of my Junior High-High School friends and later as my Father-in-Law. I’ll miss our stories over morning coffee, our jokes over texts, all the little captured moments will forever remain a part of me. Your loyalty and love will live on through each of us. Thank you for treating me as your own. Para mi, eras un padre, hoy y siempre. Te amo.
