Miyoko Uyemoto Tsuchiyose, age 101, of Murrieta, California passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024. Miyoko was born in California.
We are saddened to announce the passing of “Miyo”. She peacefully left us on August 3, 2024 and will rest next to her beloved husband Tadao at Rose Hills. She will also join her older sister and both brothers, one as an infant and the other in WWII. She is survived by her 3 children, 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and her sister’s extended family.
Miyoko was born in El Centro, CA on August 28, 1922. Her formative years were centered around her father’s barbershop in Boyle Heights. World War II had a profound impact on Miyoko's life, as she spent part of her youth in an internment camp. Despite the challenges, this period also brought her closer to other families and ultimately led to her marriage to Tadao. After the war, they settled in Pasadena where they raised three children. Miyoko’s dedication as a wife, mother, and daughter-in-law instilled in her a deep sense of selflessness and a relentless work ethic. As her children grew, she took on additional roles as a house cleaner and electronics assembler, embodying her unwavering commitment to her family. Miyoko’s warm and thoughtful nature touched everyone who knew her, and her legacy of kindness and hard work will continue to remain with us.
