Mildred June Kenny, fondly known as Mickie, went to be with the Lord on May 27, 2022 at 94 years old. She was surrounded by loving family and in her home of 44 years in Hacienda Heights, California. She was the youngest of three daughters born to Earl J. and Ella (Victor) Schumacher. Her grandparents and great grandparents were immigrants from Germany and Bohemia. Mickie was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, married John E. Kenny (Jack) in 1950, moved to California, and raised four sons. They enjoyed 64 years together in a Christ-centered home. Mickie worked for a short time as a respiratory therapist. She loved reading, traveling, and animals. Her sincere compassion for special needs children and missionaries resulted in generous support of numerous charitable organizations. She is preceded in death by her husband, John E. Kenny (Jack). She is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law: Scott Kenny of Chino, CA, Mark (Angela) Kenny of Riverside, CA, Drew (Melody) Kenny of Chino Hills, CA, Dale (Patricia) Kenny of Chino Hills, CA, seven grandchildren: Andrew (Amy) Kenny, Timothy (Serena) Kenny, Elizabeth (Eric) Paulsen, Aaron (Jennifer) Kenny, Amy (Lucas) Johnson, Heather (David) Kretschmar, Kaitlyn Kenny, and three great grandchildren: Jack, Daniel, and Wyatt Kenny.
Interment is at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, CA. Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Christian Homes in Chino, California or The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
