Lovancia was born in Tulsa, OK to Winfield and Sadie Francisco. He was raised in the church and served as an Alter Boy for St. Leo’s Catholic Church. He attended Centennial High School where he was a Co-captain of the football team. Later in life he became a Marine, worked as a counselor for the California Youth Authority, and cared for patients at the Metropolitan State Hospital as a psychiatric technician. Lovancia was known for is passion for golfing, listening to Jazz, and taking photographs.
He loved and was loved by many. He will be greatly missed by his wife Sylvia, stepson William Palma, as well as many grandchildren, nieces, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held after services at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel (7320 Greenleaf Ave, Whittier, CA 90602) at 1:30 PM.
