Dear Sue Ayi and Vickie,

I am so sorry to hear about Johnny passing away. When I first heard about it, I was shocked and then sad. And I can’t even imagine how hard it was for you both when you first heard. Many memories came back to me, like our carpool rides to and from Earhart and King. And also our occasional crossings at Berkeley.  I always remember Johnny as a very kind and cheerful person, always willing to help. And although we had not interacted much in recent years, upon hearing his passing, I found myself missing his presence.  I hope and pray that you both can find comfort in this very difficult time. And know that we are holding you both in our thoughts and prayers.
