John was born on September 17, 1940, to the parents of Charles & Louise Peters in Sioux City, Iowa. After John graduated from Reseda High School in 1961, he went on to join the United State Navy in July 1961 – May 1964. John attended and completed his degree at College of the Canyons in May 1974. He then went on to join the Los Angeles Police Department in June 1974. John held many positions but spent most of this 30-year career with the Los Angeles Police Department as a Detective III, Narcotics Group, Major Violators. Upon retirement he served many private security companies working numerus reality shows and spent 5 years with the security management team at College of the Canyons.
John is survived by his wife Connie Peters of 34 years. His children, Greg, Dan, Scott, & Wendy, stepdaughter Amber and stepson Troy. He was blessed with sixteen grandchildren and six nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Louise Peters, brother Charles J. Peters and his sister Betty Awrey.
Interment is scheduled for Saturday, July 27th @ 3:00 PM. Rose Hills Memorial Park.
