Wow, it's been a year already and in February. Time has been really flying by lately... Over these past 2 years, I've been really thinking about my mom and I've been developing something I've never felt before. Last week, my friend just told me that her dad passed away from leukemia and that really brought me back to the dark place I was in when I found out that my mom passed. These past few weeks have been tough and I just wish that my mom would be here with me, but she's not. Miss you umma...

My mom was so loving. She was the best mom I could've ever had. She would always cook, clean, care, and look after my brothers and I. I will miss her and cherish my memories I have had with her from June 12. 2009 to when I die. When I heard the news, my heart fell from my body and dropped to the floor. I cried with devastation and regret for treating her terribly in some days. It's even worse because now my dad has to worry about 3 boys and a job to look out for. I wish I can help him in any way but I don't know how. Umma, I hope you have a good time in heaven and I wish to see you there sometime.

I got to know JiYoung as her youth pastor. JiYoung and Soo were the best of friends and they were actually in Jr High group when I began serving as high school pastor. But JiYoung and Soo were always so loud. And usually it was Soo doing something silly, and then with an apologetic smile, she would back away and let JiYoung take the blame. And I can still picture JiYoung’s expression whenever that happened. The “Hey, it wasn’t me!” look, and then the look over to Soo, and then the loud sigh followed by her throwing up of her hands in the most expressive way. And she brought all of her energy and emotions into high school group. And she had a heart of gold. She was caring. She was loving. And she loved spending her time at church and with her church friends. And she loved to sing, and worship, and pray for the longest times with tears. I am going to miss her badly.
