Ezequiel Pescina, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and unforgettable memories. Born on October 19, 1940, in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, to Juan Ezequiel Pescina and Maria Concepcion Gamez. Ezequiel's life was filled with passion, dedication, and a deep love for his family and his craft.
Ezequiel married the love of his life, Maria del Rosario Montelongo known as “Blanca” when they were very young. Together they built a family, raising six children who were the center of his world. He is survived by his children Gloria, Ezequiel, Gustavo, Patricia, Arcelia, and Javier.
A man of many talents, Ezequiel spent most of his life as a mechanic, his expertise and preference were for European cars. His hands, skilled and steady, not only mended machines but also represented the essence of hard work by providing for his family any way possible, at times even from a distance. He emigrated to Chicago and thenTexas for work before finding a home to bring his family to in California.
Beyond his work, Ezequiel had a vibrant personality that drew people to him. He was charismatic, friendly, and always ready with a smile or a song. Singing and listening to music were some of his favorite pastimes, and his voice was a comforting presence to those who knew him. For a short period of time he dabbled in horse racing, adding a dash of excitement and adventure to his life. In his most recent years he provided entertainment to friends and family by visiting various senior centers through song. Some of his favorites include Los Tecolines, Pedro Infante, and Julio Jaramillo.
Ezequiel was a man who cherished his family above all. He was very close to his parents, siblings, and cousins, maintaining strong bonds that lasted throughout his life. Known for his love of life, he shared his wisdom and he approached each day with enthusiasm. His flirty, sometimes stubborn nature made him all the more endearing.
Ezequiel Pescina will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. As we remember him, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

Hombre de muchos talentos, Ezequiel pasó la mayor parte de su vida como mecánico, especializándose y prefiriendo los autos europeos. Sus manos, hábiles y firmes, no solo reparaban máquinas, sino que también representaban la esencia del trabajo duro, al proveer para su familia de cualquier manera posible, a veces incluso desde la distancia. Viajó a Chicago y Texas para trabajar antes de encontrar un hogar para llevar a su familia en California.
Más allá de su trabajo, Ezequiel tenía una personalidad vibrante que atraía a las personas. Era carismático, amigable y siempre estaba listo con una sonrisa o una canción. Cantar y escuchar música eran algunos de sus pasatiempos favoritos, y su voz era una presencia reconfortante para quienes lo conocían.
