Edward Castillo Jr.

Edward “Ed” Castillo, Jr. was called to Heaven on Monday August 9, 2021. Ed is survived by his Father, Edward Castillo Sr. and his Father’s wife Chris along with his siblings: Ron, Bob, Leonard, Larry, Sandy, and Lorraine. His children: Barbara, Eddie, David, Michael, Kristen, as well as his 13 grandchildren.

Ed was born on September 8, 1948 in Los Angeles, California. Ed attended Rio Hondo College and Cal State Los Angeles. He worked for the City of Los Angeles as a Civil Engineer Inspector. He was a friend and mentor to many he worked with.

Ed was an extraordinary athlete with a talent in baseball- was even offered a contract by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 1960’s. Ed also had a love for golf and shared his skill and knowledge to his children who carry on the tradition.

Ed cared for his family unconditionally and was extremely proud of each and every one of them. His stories, one of a kind humor, and wealth of knowledge will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services for Ed will be held on Saturday September 11, 2021 at Sky Rose Chapel - Rose Hills Memorial Park.
