Dennis was born on February 1, 1952 to Robert Yuey Wong and Lai Fung Wan. On December 7, 1974, he married Gail Yuet Po Chang. Dennis and Gail had three children, Kelly, Kevin, and Kristen.
Dennis spent most of his career in banking management before becoming an entrepreneur and running a successful video store. He retired in 2010.
Dennis led an active life taking care of his family, playing sports, especially basketball, and watching his favorite LA sports teams – the Lakers, Dodgers and the Rams.
Dennis is survived by his wife Gail, and their three children and their families: Joe, Kelly (Barrett), Katie, Ashley, Michael; Kevin Wong, April, Trevor, Tyler; Michael and Kristen (Altamirano). He is also survived by his sister Delcey and brother-in-law Stanton Soo-Hoo, and their children and families, and his half-sister, Dorothy and Roy Sakaida and their children and families.
A visitation in chapel for Dennis will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2021 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Hua Yuan: Hall of Wisdom, 3890 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, CA 90601-1626. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Hua Yuan: Hall of Grace, 3890 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, CA 90601-1626
