Del was always on the sidelines, pacing, proud, eyes locked on his boy, then boom — off to take care of business, the family, his workouts, and of course — his motorcycle.

Del had three amazing kids, and his oldest daughter Anastasia now helps run the business, keeping the family legacy strong.

He could never sit still. He moved through life like he moved on the field — with power and purpose.

Del Little threw AKA Delton Crandell — you were one of a kind. Your memory will live on in all of us who wore the Hornet jersey, in your family, and in the lives you touched. We’ll miss your energy, your stories, your love for the game, that unmistakable drive and the love of freedom.

Rest easy, brother.

Remembering Del Little FC #57 — Delton Crandell - Once a Hornet, Always a Hornet. We lost a good one, Hornets. With heavy hearts but big smiles, we remember the life and legacy of Delton Crandell, known to many of us as Del Little — 77 Buena Park High grad ('78-'79), Fullerton College alum, hard-nosed football player, wrestler, businessman, father, and friend. Del passed recently, leaving behind an incredible legacy on and off the field. Del was one of those guys you couldn’t forget. He brought fire to the field — the kind of guy who’d walk the whole field like Coach Sherbeck, from end zone to end zone, before kickoff, nerves buzzing, heart pounding, locked in. He was ready. He once racked up 17 tackles in a single game at BP, and if you were lucky enough to be there, you knew you were watching a real hitter. That thick neck roll wasn’t for show — Del played the game with true grit. Before Fullerton College, Del made his mark at Buena Park High, playing alongside buddies like Bill Parrazo, John Bell, Kevin Smith, and Larry Allen (Safety, not the Cowboy). He was a standout wrestler too, the kind of athlete who just had it. Off the field, Del was just as memorable. He had a sweet Corvair he built in high school — if you got a ride in it, your cool factor instantly doubled. And let’s not forget the story (allegedly!) of him witnessing Chris Palmer hanging from the street sign at Fullerton College — Del saw it all and lived to tell the tale. Del didn’t just build cars — he built a life. He took a 70-truck company (CC Transportation) and turned it into an industry cornerstone, hauling asphalt, consulting, and even paving the California Speedway in Ontario. His motto? “Superior Product and Superior Service” — and he meant it. He also passed that fire and love for football down to his son, who followed in his footsteps and played on the 2016 and 2017 National Championship teams.

Brother, man, we never spent any time together in the many decades that we have been bro’s doing anything but laughing, you got me, I got you. We shared our Hornet Football Brotherhood and uncanny similarities re life beliefs and attitudes. The sense of humor we shared and ability to make each other laugh so hard we cried every time we were together will never be forgotten, our love and respect for each other, for your kiddos especially Del Jr will always be with us and I’ll never forget or stop that love on this planet and we will laugh hysterically in Hornet Heaven together, save my spot on the sidelines as we pace together laughing, BILLY! Anastasia and Del, my most sincere condolences, anything you ever want or need, just let me know. Thank you for sharing your father with me, honored to be welcomed by him and you kids and Geno as his brother.

I love you, Dad. Thank you for always believing in me!
