It’s been a year since you left us. I miss you sooo much!!! Remember that time we had lunch at Cheesecake Factory? The pasta you ordered was so spicy, but you loved it. I couldn’t believe you’d eat such spicy food, that’s why I took this picture of you with your dish. And you gave me that big smile, which I loved so much! Wherever you are now, I hope you’re not feeling any pain and that you get to smile and laugh all the time. Love you! - your Soi E

Dear David,
Do you remember how we explored the Valley of Fire 15 years ago with Cam and your aunty MX ? I did not know then that it’d inspire me to write « Le secret de Tadi » many years later and be part of the setting of my second novel. I did not know that you would not be here physically anymore to witness the publication. I loved our time together in the canyon and I am so grateful for your presence. You were then the small brother I’d have liked to have. A few years later I became officially your aunt and I was soooo proud to be your aunt. This book, David, is for you ! I dedicated it to your memory and your smile, in tribute to your sunny side, which I had the pleasure to discover during that trip. Thank you for all the precious moments we spent together. I wish there would have been more, but then I know we will meet again and that your story is not over. You will live on in many memories and now also through the legacy of the book. I never told you so, and I am sorry I did not tell you this in person, but I love you dearly. You’ve always been special to me and will always be in my thoughts and heart.

I miss you so much, David!! Wherever you are now, I hope you find peace.

I will always remember this epic trip to wonderland.  David was full of energy and confidence and was adamant that we would leave the park with some prizes from games. I will never forget the excitement  from when he won the big domo in the middle from that game of ball toss and carried it outside of the park and even into the pho restaurant that we went to with our family after the eventful day. He made sure that Angela and Rosa also left the park with some prizes as well. He went out of his way to make the day extra special and is a memory that we all hold dear.  You will always be in our hearts, David.

I met David when he came to Toronto to visit my cousins: Angela, Celine, and Demitri.  One summer David came and we took him to wonderland and we had a blast! It was a great day filled with laughter, joy, adventure, and good eats. He was funny, kind and caring - a wonderful soul who will be truly missed.  Miss you David - rest in paradise. 🤍

Every-time David and I were together as kids, it was nothing but laughter and true joy. I can’t even begin to explain how much he will be missed.

My fondest memories of cousin David was when we were kids, we are both the same age, I remember all the fun times we had and him visiting Toronto or when we went to LA as kids. He was the most kind and thoughtful person and I will always cherish all the memories.

I always look forward to hanging out with my cousins when I go and visit the west coast. Spending time with David was one of the highlights of my trips. He was a kind soul and we always had a great time together. I’m glad I got to see you one more time last year. I’ll miss you David 🤍

My condolences to the family. David was a friend of mines for the county. We started together in 2021 and luckily we were able to create a few memories while we worked together in Santa Ana.  He was a good guy with a pure heart and he will be missed. I would like to donate but don’t know if you have Apple Pay or zelle. Please let me know where I can contribute to help the family out.

I met David when he first started his career with the County of Orange. I had the privilege to mentor him during his training. He was always so kind and funny. He was a very smart man, I saw him going far within our agency. This is such a loss and I am heartbroken for his family. Sending lots of strength and peace during this difficult time.
