My sweet Carrie, it's been five years since you left us to enteral life.  I have thought of you every single day.  My heart still has a hole and isn't healing until we meet again in heaven.  You would be proud of your daughters as they move forward in life.  Alyssa has given you 2 beautiful grandsons and is a great mama.  As for Nellie. she has chosen a career in Vintage Retail as a buyer for a store in uptown Whittier, very close to where you lived.
For sure you are in a better place but missing you can't be helped. I wanted more time with you as my only daughter.  I wanted to make more memories and see you interact with your grandsons.  I can't help but feel empty inside when your girls celebrate any type of event without you.  This breaks me every time.  Spring, summer, fall, (your favorite) and winter.  Five years without you seems impossible, but the Lord has help us through it all.  I love you my sweet daughter and miss you every single day.  Loving you forever- Mom :)

Hi Mamacita, I'm feeling really down today, missing you and thinking about the last time we actually had a conversation together.  We talked about moving.  You express that you were happy we were moving closer,  on Orange Dr.  You said it made you feel safer and happy your girls and I were closer to you.  I remember walking over to your apartment with your daughters and the look of surprise on your face is ever lasting.  There are so many stories, this one came to mind today.  My love is overflowing for you and missing you is unbelievably sad.  I see so much of you in Nellie, and a lot of bossiness from you in Alyssa. (lol). You made beautiful daughters, just like your beauty.  You are one of a kind Meja and I will forever hold my memories of "us" in my heart.  I love you & miss you all the time.   Mom💓

Lately I’ve been missing you a lot more than normal. I was watching this show the other day where someone lost their father and they asked him to speak about the last words they every spoke to each other; it made me so sad because I know I’ll never get to hear your voice. I’ll never get to hear you say “I love you” or call me “Lissy finko” or hear you sing to me. The only things I have left are the memories , the pictures, and the video of the last birthday we were able to sing you “Happy Birthday” and you were laughing so hard it made us all laugh because it had been awhile since you laughed like that. I miss you and I hope i never forget the sound of your voice. I love you mama. My beautiful butterfly. 

You would think that things would get easier as time goes on. That songs wouldn’t make me cry as much as they did when it first happened. I always dream about you. I wish that E would get to know you in real time. I hate that you’re gone but I’m so glad you’re no longer suffering. I hope that Grandpa Richard gave you a great big hug when you got there and grandma Nellie was waiting there for you with a whopper and fries like you use to get us. I hope you get to hear Prince sing purple rain all the time and that Heath Ledger smiles at you as often as you say he’s fine as wine.  We love you and miss you down here. I hope you are enjoying your view up there. I love you and miss you mom. My beautiful butterfly.
