Anthony Han-Tong Chang

Anthony was born in China, grew up in Taiwan, and raised his family in Southern California. He was well known and respected by the Chinese community and he was an eloquent speaker, a gifted writer, a devoted Lakers fan, an avid mahjong player, and a loyal friend.

After graduating from Taipei’s National Chengchi University, Anthony began a career in sales. Upon moving to America, Anthony continued to apply his sales skills in a variety of industries; but of all of his career choices, he most loved his work in entertainment media which included hosting the local cable news show 熱門話題 (Trending News & Topics).

Several key events happened during the 2000’s that would change Anthony’s life forever. In 2000 and 2002, Anthony became the Ah Doh of Micah and Jonah, and in December of 2008, Anthony recommitted his life to Christ and received baptism by water.

There were only a few things that could beat the joy of opening the front door to Anthony reading the Bible aloud. One was the funny pre-meal “thank you God for food we eat” song he created to sing with his grandsons; the other was getting on his knees nightly to pray. And of all the prayers he offered, he unceasingly prayed daily for his grandsons to come to love God as much as he did.

God answered his prayer.

Anthony is missed, cherished, and celebrated by his wife Lona, daughters Jennie and Dorrie, grandsons Micah and Jonah, and his siblings and their families whom he loved deeply.

張漢東先生，ㄧ位最有愛心的 丈夫、 父親 、祖父， 我們會繼續不斷的愛您， 直到我們再相見。

漢東生於1942 4月25日, 享年82歲。 陝西華陰縣人， 父親張錫鈞陸軍中校、母親張李宜秀女士， 姊姊張慕賢、 姊夫李龍生是他終身敬愛的長輩，妹妹張春燕、弟弟漢興、漢傑是他一輩子疼惜的家人。

漢東政治大學畢業後，歷經從商、媒體，並任電視政經節目主持人多年，廣受觀眾喜愛，我們家人深以他為榮。

2008 年，漢東蒙主揀選， 成為神的兒女，從此以神的話語為樂， 認真鑽研， 敬畏 神，熱心服事教會，也引領孩子們晚輩們 ㄧ一歸入主的名下！ 讚美 主！

今天暫時的離別， 我們捨不得， 但是，神的應許永不落空，我們必再相會！

A funeral service for Anthony will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Hua Yuan - Hall of Grace, 3890 Workman Mill Road, Whittier, California 90601.

Anthony will be laid to rest in Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California 90601; Sunshine Terrace; Gate: 1, Section: 8, Lot: 1752, Grave: 1.
