Born on May 3, 1954, in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, Alejandro led a life marked by passion, dedication, and love. After graduating from Whittier College, he pursued a career as a lab technician at a few oil refineries and retired from Valero, where his dedication and strong work ethic earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues.
Beyond professional pursuits, Alejandro had many talents that were fueled by his passion for making the most out of life and learning about our world and beyond. He loved staying active, but found the most joy in cycling and being an avid soccer player. Equally, he loved the sciences, especially astronomy and geology where he found harmony beneath the ground and above the stars. He also found harmony in the rhythm of life, inspiring others through playing guitar and dancing. Alejandro also had a keen eye and captured life’s moments through his photography and videography. He left behind a legacy and an abundance of cherished memories for his loved ones to treasure.
Above all, Alejandro was a strong and devoted family man, finding his greatest fulfillment in the company of his loving wife, Yadira Margarita, and their three children, David, Mark, and Kristina. Constantly radiating with joy, you could never catch him without his infectious sense of humor, endearing smile or contagious laugh. His love and support knew no bounds, and he leaves behind a family profoundly grateful for his unwavering presence and guidance. His strength continues to endure through them, after battling Alzheimer’s for 12 years.
In honoring Alejandro's memory, let us remember his vibrant spirit and his steadfast dedication to his loved ones. Though he may no longer walk among us, his legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories will forever illuminate our hearts. He will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
